Qualifications Update

4 qualifications in this sector are up for renewal in August 2008:
 
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (100/2444/X)
We’re currently seeking an extension for this qualification. We don’t anticipate making any changes, but keep an eye on the website for updates

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory (100/2446/3)
We’re currently seeking an extension for this qualification.  As part of this we’ll be making changes to the assessment of this qualification for the session starting 1 September 2008. Watch this space for more specific information.

Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Awareness (500/1467/5)
We’ve successfully extended the accreditation period for this qualification. The new accreditation end date is 31 August 2009.

Level 2 Certificate in Understanding and Prevention of MRSA (500/1516/3)
This qualification will expire on the 31 August 2008 and will not be renewed. We’ve sent a letter explaining this decision to all approved centres on the 27 March 2008.

Qualifications in Development
We’re currently developing new qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 in Counselling. These developments are still in their early stages and we hope to launch these qualifications at the latest in September 2009.
